Spring Blossom at Hetchell Wood, Yorkshire

Updated: May 8, 2020

Visited Hetchell Wood Nature Reserve yesterday afternoon for a couple hours' walk through the woodlands. My aim was to see the bluebells at their peak; what I didn't expect was the incredible white carpet created by wild garlic flowering throughout much of the reserve! Looking through these photos, I can still smell the garlic in the warm air contained underneath the canopy ...

Check out these and more photographs from Hetchell Wood in high-resolution in a Flickr album.
